SOOO happy that I was able to work for Cody and Danielle! Congrats to them both. Keep an eye out for their wedding on the blog in a few weeks!
Congrats to Cody and Anna! I can’t wait to share the images from their beautiful wedding in a few weeks!
For the past few years, I’ve really been meaning to make the trip up to D.C. to witness the amazing cherry blossoms during their peak. Kim and Jess gave me a solid reason when they contacted me about their October wedding. After discussing possible locations and themes for their e-session, I met up with them in Washington D.C. for a session surrounding the monuments and cherry blossoms, with a little
For Valentines Day this year my wife and I made cupcakes together…well, my wife made cupcakes, and I helped a little, and made lots of photos of the process. The recipe we used was from My Baking Addiction. It calls for fresh brewed coffee in the batter as well as the icing…(can life get better than that!?) Of course, we used fresh ground whole bean for our brew. Also, we topped our cupcakes with chocolate shavings instead of coconut, because we don’t like to follow directions all the way. Too bad I can’t email a sample to everyone who reads this… 🙂
In early January, we were able to meet up with Kevin and Nicole to capture their love story. Upon receiving Nicole’s story, I knew right away that this shoot was going to be classic. Kevin is in the military. Twice in the past two years, he has been away for an extended period of time, reducing their communication to handwritten letters.
I’ve been waiting to share this session for some time now. Before the cold set in, we met up with Jordan and Lisa for an engagement shoot in the woods. I had an idea for an engagement shoot involving a fire with s’mores, so we included it in this session of much variety. From sports to (pretending to be) playing music, to hiking, to flannels. . .Jordan and Lisa share many interests. It was very easy to identity with them on this issue! They were so very lovely to work! Aneila and I are excited to be filming their wedding within the next few years! Enjoy!
Back in October, we met up with Lee and Lauren at the venue of their wedding to capture their anniversary photos(their wedding was our first!). I planned for the shoot to happen on a rainy day, as I had some ideas for fun rain shots. For some weird reason, Lee and Lauren popped into my mind when I thought of rain on the Terrace at Mary Baldwin College. . .for those that don’t know the story, it POURED as Lauren entered the ceremony last year. Everyone ran. The ceremony was resumed inside the ballroom. Neither Lee’s nor Lauren’s smile disappeared though!! I was really impressed. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see what I’m talking about! Enjoy!
I couldn’t resist sharing this image from today’s engagement shoot with Jordan and Lisa. They were so lovely to work with and I can’t wait to share the rest!
