A dream of mine has been fulfilled. We photographed a wedding in Big Sur, California…one of the most chill weddings ever.
Throughout Paul and Lindsey’s day, Lindsey’s carefully crafted schedule allowed for several hour-long stretches of chill time. Seriously folks…put simply: this is how it’s done. Nothing was rushed. Nothing was missed. Paul and Lindsey were married. Portraits were captured (on film!). Vinyl was played. People danced. Dinner was served. Toasts were made.
By the end of the night we almost felt like we were a part of the family. That’s the kind of people the Koro and Miles families are…I hope you enjoy one of my favorite weddings of all time.

Jason and Jordan are adventurers. They LIVE to explore cities, taste coffee and stargaze together at Switzer Lake. Naturally, the Lake was the best location for their engagement session. While we walked around the shore waiting for the sun to set, Jason told us about the time he and a friend drove a boat to the Bahamas. Drove a boat to the Bahamas. Drove a boat to the Bahamas. Maybe one day we’ll be that cool.
When Jordan first contacted us back in January, I could tell right away that we needed to meet these people. Besides loving to explore, they’re simply down to earth. Jordan, being a designer, noticed and embraced the anti-cookie-cutter in our approach to photography…and that, my friends is what I consider to be the ultimate compliment from a fellow artist.
I hope you enjoy this engagement session as much as I enjoyed creating it.
I’ve been waiting to share this shoot since the day it took place. This is the kind of work I wish to do. The evening before, Aneila and I foraged the wildflowers for the bouquet and wreath on some family land near our house. We woke up at 4am and hit the trail by 5:15. As the fog lifted, a magical scene unfolded. #longlivefilm.

Back in March we visited our California cousins, the Ways. We spent a whole week hanging out and wrapped it up with a mini family shoot for Zach, Hanna and Forest on the Pacific. Indie Film Lab nailed the fuji 400h scans.
Since we’ll be back in California next spring, we’re offering a special wedding discount in 2017 for California weddings. Spread the word!
