throughout the fall of 2012 and spring of 2013 i was able to capture a few senior portraits of aneila’s sister, natalie. all of these images were made on family property, right up against the border of the shenandoah national park. enjoy, and congrats to natalie on her recent graduation!

For the past few years, I’ve really been meaning to make the trip up to D.C. to witness the amazing cherry blossoms during their peak. Kim and Jess gave me a solid reason when they contacted me about their October wedding. For Valentines Day this year my wife and I made cupcakes together…well, my wife made cupcakes, and I helped a little, and made lots of photos of the process. The recipe we used was from My Baking Addiction. It calls for fresh brewed coffee in the batter as well as the icing…(can life get better than that!?) Of course, we used fresh ground whole bean for our brew. Also, we topped our cupcakes with chocolate shavings instead of coconut, because we don’t like to follow directions all the way. Too bad I can’t email a sample to everyone who reads this… 🙂
In early January, we were able to meet up with Kevin and Nicole to capture their love story. Upon receiving Nicole’s story, I knew right away that this shoot was going to be classic. Kevin is in the military. Twice in the past two years, he has been away for an extended period of time, reducing their communication to handwritten letters.
